Storm update:
Due to the amazing work of our DPW crew, I am thrilled to let our community know that all roads are open tonight in Thetford. Please continue to use caution on the roads as several are one lane only in spots or very rough due to the washouts and temporary fixes.
We were lucky in Thetford and I am grateful for the work of our Fire department, Police department and Department of Public Works over the last few days to manage the response to this storm and related emergencies. Other areas around us and throughout Vermont sustained significantly more damage. Please consider staying out of the hard hit areas while emergency crews continue to work so they can focus on the job at hand.
This will be my last update here on social media for this storm event.
Thank you all.
Respectfully,
Mariah Whitcomb
Emergency Management Director, Town of Thetford.
