About Thetford Emergency Management

There are numerous situations during which emergency management professionals may provide assistance. These include floods, fires, winter storms, public health emergencies, hazardous materials and transportation accidents, and  search and rescue operations. To meet these diverse demands, we utilize a four-phase process comprised of mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery, and use the federally recognized National Incident Management System (NIMS) for command and control.

Thetford has a group of volunteers who meet as needed to assist the Town Emergency Management Director with communication planning, emergency shelter organization and supply issues, as well as completion of the annual Local Emergency Operations Plan.  We welcome anyone interested in learning more or participating in this planning to reach out to the Emergency Management Director.  Please feel free to contact us through the link to the left if you would like more information.

This website will be updated regularly and used as one communication method for sharing information, instructions, etc. in emergencies.
